WVU Tech Professor awarded NEH Grant to study at Duke

Dr. Mark Wilson, associate professor of economics at WVU Tech, was recently awarded a National Endowment of the Humanities (NEH) grant to study at Duke University this summer. The grant will enable him to attend a three week workshop in the “History of Economics”.

Duke is located in Durham, North Carolina, and is the number one ranked economic history institution in the United States. The workshop will be taught by nationally recognized economics scholars. Dr. Wilson will be one of only 25 college teachers from around the world in attendance.

“It is a tremendous honor for Dr. Wilson to have been selected for this very competitive program led by highly recognized scholars. The opportunity afforded Dr. Wilson clearly demonstrates recognition of the quality of faculty at WVU Tech and within the Department of Social Sciences and Public Administration,” states Dr. John David, chair, Department of Social Sciences and Public Administration.
