In Long’s State of Tech Address, she provided updates on the institution’s efforts to recruit, retain and rebuild, including an announcement that enrollment is up more than 10 percent.

DOW Chemical Sponsors WVU Tech Engineering & Sciences Open House
West Virginia University Institute of Technology (WVU Tech) will be hosting an Engineering & Sciences Open House for students in grades 6-12 on Thursday, October 31. The event, which will be held on the Montgomery campus, is sponsored by The DOW Chemical Company.
WVU Tech Hosts Rivera Traveling Exhibit
West Virginia University Institute of Technology (WVU Tech) will be displaying a Teacher’s Discovery Traveling Exhibit featuring the spectacular murals of Diego Rivera, considered a national treasure of Mexico. The campus will enjoy the giant reproductions during the week of October 21- October 25. Featuring the beautiful “Sunday Afternoon in Alameda Park,” the exhibit celebrates art, Spanish language, Mexican culture and history. The exhibit will be held in the Reserve Room of Vining Library (2nd Floor).

WVU Tech Hosts Dinner Theatre Featuring the Charleston Light Opera Guild
On Thursday, October 17, the West Virginia University Institute of Technology (WVU Tech) campus will be transported to early nineteenth century France as the Charleston Light Opera Guild (CLOG) presents a preview performance of the international classic musical Les Misérables. The dinner theatre event beginning at 6:30 pm is sponsored by the Division of Student Affairs and is free for the entire WVU Tech campus community.
Business & Industry Experts Lend Hiring Tips to WVU Tech Students
West Virginia University Institute of Technology (WVU Tech) will host an expert panel of employers during a special “Get Hired” event on Thursday, October 10, at 1:00 pm in the Student Success Center. The 13-member panel features employers from across the state with professional backgrounds representing a variety of majors including accounting, business, chemistry, health service administration, mechanical engineering, nursing and sport management.
