The twelve highest scoring seniors from the combined RESA III and RESA IV districts were awarded mathematics scholarships to the West Virginia University Institute of Technology during the recent Regional Mathematics Field Day.
Over 150 students competed in the field day event, which was hosted by WVU Tech on Friday, March 12.
Scholarship recipients from RESA III include: Allison McLaughlin, Hurricane High School; Sam Wood, South Charleston High School; Jessica Safreed, St. Albans High School; John Daly, Charleston Catholic High School; Andrew Wade, Winfield High School and Daniel Dollison, Cross Lanes Christian.
RESA IV scholarship recipients are: Daniel Cruz, Braxton County High School; James Ingles, Fayetteville High School; Jonathon Stewart, Oak Hill High School; Connor Kenaston, Greenbrier East High School; Madeline Vandevander, Greenbrier East High School and Kyle Li, Nicholas County High School.
Each recipient will receive a renewable $5,000 scholarship toward their freshmen year at WVU Tech.
