2012 Richard C. Flint Scholarship Recipients Announced

WVU Tech is pleased to announce that Kelslyn Brown, Hunter Gray, Doma Yahaya and Haley Pauley are the recipients of the Richard C. Flint scholarship fund for the upcoming academic year. The scholarship fund was established in the memory of Richard C. Flint for students in the Department of Social Sciences and Public Administration.

Brown, a resident of Cowen, W.Va., is a senior majoring in health services administration. Gray is a freshman health services administration student from Richwood, W.Va. Yahaya is a senior criminal justice major from Ellicot, Md. Pauley, a resident of Milton, W.Va. is a freshman health services administration student.

The scholarship’s namesake, Richard C. Flint, served WVU Tech as the coordinator and professor of the Health Services Administration program in the Department. Flint, who was well known in Kanawha and Fayette Counties, passed away in 1992.

All students majoring in health services administration, industrial relations and human resources, criminal justice administration, and public service administration at WVU Tech are eligible to apply for the scholarship, which is administered by the Greater Kanawha Valley Foundation. The size of the scholarships varies, but will cover part, or all, of full tuition costs and may be renewable.
