WVU Tech Nursing Program Reports 93% NCLEX Passage Rate

West Virginia University Institute of Technology’s Department of Nursing is pleased to announce that 93 percent of the 2012 class of nursing students have successfully passed the NCLEX-RN licensure exam on their first attempt.

“We are extremely proud of our students and our faculty – this is a testament to all of their hard work and dedication. I am pleased that so many of our graduates have chosen to stay and serve the people of West Virginia. This is a critical need for our state,” explained WVU Tech CEO Carolyn Long.

WVU School of Nursing Dean Georgia Narsavage added, “I’d like to congratulate not just the students, but the dedicated WVU Tech faculty who are exceptional nursing professionals themselves.”

WVU Tech is the only public institution in Southern West Virginia to offer a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. As a department within the West Virginia University School of Nursing, WVU Tech’s Department of Nursing offers the same curriculum and academic rigor with the advantage of smaller class sizes and faculty-to-student ratios.
